DORN - Spiegel der Unendlichkeit (CD)

Style: Melodic Death Metal

Dorn was formed in 1998 and makes a mix of Viking metal with melodic death metal. They released their debut "Falschheit" in 2000 by CCP Records and in 2001 they released their 2nd and 2003 their 3rd album . In 2004 they released the album "Suriel "(a very good album by the way). Now in 2007 they've released their fifth album "Spiegel der Unendlichkeit". This album contains 10 tracks of melodic death or Viking death metal. All songs have a lot of variety in it. The dark keyboards bring you to another dimension and the vocals are very growling and deep (it sometimes reminds me of Crematory). The guitar riffs are technical and melodic. The drums are very constant and sometimes even a fast blast in it. This album is a very musical journey. The production of this album is very good. This entire album is what I call easy listening, what I mean is, put it on and you won't put it of... very well done! If you like bands like Crematory, Thyrfing and even a bit of Finntroll than you should give it a try!
